  Terms — public scan

Public-scan terms.

Plain-English summary of what you're agreeing to when you run a free, no-sign-in audit on a website. This applies to scans started from the public homepage. Signed-in dashboard scans are governed by the main terms of service.

  1. № 01

You're authorised to scan the site.

Only run a scan against a website you own, operate, or have permission to audit. We don't perform any kind of attack — the scan visits the site as a normal browser would and reads what's publicly available — but you still need to be the right person to be looking at it.

  2. № 02

    Reports are public.

Each public scan produces a report at a hard-to-guess URL (/report/<random-id>). Anyone with the link can read it — there's no login wall. Don't share the link if the report's contents are sensitive. Want privacy? Sign up for a free account — dashboard scans are private to you.

  3. № 03

    We learn from your results.

We use anonymous, aggregated audit data to improve the audit system — spotting which checks have false positives, refining how the AI summary reads, expanding the list of trackers we recognise, that sort of thing. We do not sell scan data, and we don't publish the URL or contents of your audit anywhere except the public report URL we give you.

  4. № 04

    Reports are informational.

A scan is an automated tool, not legal advice. It catches the most common UK GDPR / PECR / accessibility issues on the surface of a site, but a clean report doesn't make you compliant and a failing one isn't the last word. Treat the report as a starting point for a human review.

  5. № 05

Rate limits keep the service free.

Each domain can be publicly scanned a limited number of times per 30-day window per scan type. If you hit the limit, you'll see the most recent matching report instead of a fresh run. Sign up for an account if you need more, or upgrade to Professional for unlimited audits.
